Project Management

SharePoint Intranet running in conjunction with MS SQL server and 2003 Server allows us to attain superior project management. In one screenshot the executive team is able to access the most current file version worked on by all the different team members. When work is modified or worked on it automatically informs the employees who need to be notified.

Accesibility of Information

Virtual Private Network: Its direct route enables the systems in Bogotá to securely access our NY network. It's setup by having 2 Cisco Routers at both ends.

Terminal Services Server: 10 people from Bogotá can logon and work off 1pc in the NY network simultaneously.
Palm Treo: Bogotá is able to communicate straight with the technicians' mobile phones. Windows Mobile OS, enable us to tie the Microsoft exchange to the cell phone so the technicians always get the latest updates from the office such as calendar, contacts, directions, advice and reminders.

Bulk Document Scanning and conversion to Electronic Documents enables all documented information to be transferred to E-documents within our server network. Once information is in server network then it can be accessed by anyone within Colombia or NY.

Communication

Hosted PBX VOip: Allows the phones systems in Bogotá and NY to communicate seamlessly as if they were in the same physical location.

NY uses a dedicated T1 line that has a 4Mega Bite broadband connection;

Colombia uses fiber optic lines with a 5MBs connection as well as QOS (Quality Of Service). QOS gives priority to the phone systems in Colombia over internet in case there's a disruption.

Cisco 7960 Phones: Enable us to use the Hosted PBX VOip and handles quality control of voice

Data Security

RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol); Allows you to connect to a desktop from Bogotá. This enables our administrative staff to pull out any documents or information from our NY computers as if they were sitting in the NY office.

Security Video over IP: Standard for communication for video conferencing. we have hardware in our office that only communicates with hardware in Colombia. It's a secure connection between our offices. It's always on.

Culture/Company Environment
