WELCOME ADDRESSS FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SULTANATE OF OMAN TO THE UN, H.E. AMBASSADOR FUAD M. AL-HINAI

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the homepage of the Permanent Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations.

Oman's foreign policy has always been to extend the hand of friendship to all countries on the basis of non-interference in each other's internal affairs, mutual respect, peaceful co-existence, and good neighborliness. Based on these principles, Oman joined the United Nations on the 7th October 1971. Oman firmly adheres to the principles of the United Nations Charter and International Laws.

We have launched this website to provide information on Oman's role at the United Nations, its history, culture and heritage, geography, administrative system of the State, international relations, development, natural resources, economy, and its people.

It is my sincere hope that this website will continue to provide useful and reliable information on Oman, and that you will not hesitate to contact us for any additional information that you may require.
